BioInteractive - Virtual Labs: This site holds .many virtual labs for high school students. The labs address issues related to bacterial identification, immunology, cardiology, neurophysiology, and transgenic organisms, particularly transgenic flies. The interactivity requires the downloading of Adobe Shockwave Player or Adobe Flash

Encyclopedia of Earth: An electronic reference about Earth, its natural environments, and their interaction with society. The EoE is a free, fully searchable collection of articles written by scholars, educators, and experts who collaborate and review each other's work. The EoE is designed for use by students, educators, scholars, professionals and the general public.
Great Explorations in Math & Science (GEMS curriculum units for sale): Life through Time: Evolutionary Activities for Grades 5–8 : seven activities, 358 pages focus on adaptation, relatedness, and "deep time":
PhET Interactive Science Simulations : "PhET Interactive Simulations is an ongoing effort to provide an extensive suite of simulations to improve the way that physics, chemistry, biology, earth science and math are taught and learned. The simulations are interactive tools that enable students to make connections between real life phenomena and the underlying science which explains such phenomena. Our team of scientists, software engineers and science educators use a research-based approach - incorporating findings from prior research and our own testing - to create simulations that support student engagement with and understanding of scientific concepts."

The River City Project: "This is an interactive computer simulation for middle grades science students to learn scientific inquiry and 21st century skills. River City is centered around a 19th century small town in which the residents are becoming ill for unknown reasons. Students work in teams to gather evidence, figure out what has gone wrong, and find solutions. Attacking the problem successfully and finding solutions involves a variety of scientific, interpretative, deductive, social, communications, and other skills.
Science Simulations: "This site includes a collection of simulation links in math, physics, chemistry, earth science, and biology. The site offers some good models that help students explore difficult concepts or principles in science or reinforce their understanding of the learned concepts. In the area of biology, many interesting simulations links are included. These are cell simulations, virtual cell, biology in motion, virtual microscope, osmosis and membrane transport, interactive biology, virtual frog dissections, genetics simulations, and virtual knee surgery. Some of the sites require that you download the shockwave player or other software before interaction."
Schlumberger Excellence in Education Development: "SEED has produced virtual experiments and science-oriented games with nice graphic interfaces that permit changing key variables and seeing what happens.
